Women of Reform Judaism

Temple Mount Sinai's Women of Reform Judaism (WRJ) has embarked upon another great year of programming, education, socializing, tzedakah, and Temple support and we hope that you will be a part of it. With your support and participation, this will be a year of living with intention - a year of making each month count as we work to make a difference at Temple, in our community, and in ourselves.

Here's a look at some of our WRJ activities over the last few years:

For Our Temple
• Cooking and serving holiday dinners (Sukkot, Chanukah)
• Creating and delivering new member welcome baskets
• Contributing to camperships
• Sponsoring dozens of children and family education events
• Hosting events to celebrate Purim and raise funds
• Contributing to kitchen renovation and kitchen wares
• Mailing birthday cards to every child at Temple Mt. Sinai
• Giving a Tanakh to every B'nai Mitzvah at Temple Mt. Sinai
• Assisting in Temple Gift Shop

For Our Community and Beyond
• Donating to WRJ's international YES fund, supporting Youth activities, Education of
rabbis and cantors, and Special projects (including supporting social action and peace
efforts)
• Mailing "care packages" to Jewish US soldiers in Afghanistan
• Contributing toward a  special ambulance outfitted for use in Israel
• Promoting women's leadership development

For Ourselves
• Holding programs that help build our network of friendship and support (book review
meetings, game and crafts nights, etc.)
• Holding programs that educate us (local Jewish history talks, Holocaust Museum tour,
Jewish studies, etc.)
• Conducting Joint Women's Seder with B'nai Zion
• Providing meals to homes with new babies
