Havdalah Hike
First Saturday of the month. Check for updates each month on time and location.
Come on a short hike and join in the brief but meaningful Havdalah service to say goodbye to Shabbat. Family and friendly dogs welcome.
We will start the hike at 5:30 P.M. in Tom May's Park off of Transmountain Drive. There is a $2 fee per person for ages 13 and up. We will use the self-pay station, so each car needs to have the correct amount of cash or check. After passing the entrance gate and paying the fee, take the first right (at the sign for Sneed's Cory). Continue to the parking lot at the start of the hiking trail for North Mountain. Make sure to get a fee discount form (Rabbi or Cynthia will have them) as every car's dashboard has to have one. We'll observe Havdalah during the approximately two hour hike up towards Mundy's Gap. The gate closes at 8:00 P.M.
