Havdalah Hike

Havdalah Hike

Havdalah Hike – First Saturday of the month. Check for updates each month on time and location. This Saturday we will hike to the Aztec Caves in Tom Mays Park.  It will give us a good view of sunset for Havdalah.  Enter the park and drive about a mile from the booth; beyond the Nature Trail turn to the right to the parking area for Aztec Caves.  There is room for about 20 cars.  The caves are in view from the parking area. The hike is about .6 or .7 miles up and the same coming back.  The climb is medium in difficulty.  This trail is not as hard as West Cottonwood Spring, but it is harder than Lost Dog and the Temple arroyo hike.  The vertical climb to the caves is about 600 feet.  There are steps built in the trail to aid the hikers in the climb.

Come on a short hike and join in the brief but meaningful Havdalah service to say goodbye to Shabbat. Family and friendly dogs welcome.
