Opportunities for Learning
TEMPLE'S EDUCATION VISION
Learning at Temple Mount Sinai exists to create a caring, diverse, and committed community of Reform Jews.
Madrichim Program
- Our Religious School offers amazing experiences not just for the younger students but for our post-bar/bat mitzvah students. The Madrichim program (teen teaching assistants) is a unique opportunity for high school students in our community. Not only do you get to take on responsibility, help teach, guide and mentor our students. It is also a meaningful growth opportunity and can be invaluable in preparing for students’ next steps after high school.
- We look to our high school students as role models for our younger students. Living within the values of Kavod (respect), Chesed (loving kindness) and Achrayut (responsibility).
- Our high school students don’t just model Jewish leadership in the classroom; they also model ongoing Jewish learning. Our madrichim attend our Confirmation/Lunch and Learn sessions once or twice a month. We all gather together each year to celebrate their incredible dedication as our High School students are confirmed their senior year as well.
