Religious School Registration 2025-2026

The Floyd S. Fierman Religious School is named for our beloved rabbi, who served the congregation from 1949-1989. Rabbi Fierman left an indelible mark on El Paso, and many of the parents and grandparents of today's students remember the impression he made upon them when they were young.

Today, we seek to engage our students through projects and joyful Jewish experiences. We recognize that our students and families are learning differently due to our ever-changing world and we strive to change together. If you'd like to know more about the curriculum we use, teachers and various learning styles, please contact the Religious School Director, Mindy Escobar-Leanse at 915-532-5959 or mescobar-leanse@templemountsinai.com.

Below you will find this year's registration. It is best to be logged into your ShulCloud account. If you are unsure of how to do so, please contact the TMS office. We've tried to make it as user friendly as possible but know there may always be technological issues. Please contact Mindy or the TMS office directly if you're having any issues registering.

Section C: Release Forms

For every child registered in Religious School, we require a Medical Emergency Form, Field Trip Release Form, Parent Acknowledgment and Student Covenant signed.

If you would like PDF access to the release forms or welcome letter, you can find them on the Temple Mount Sinai website under LEARNING. Links can be found on the RELIGIOUS SCHOOL page.
Media Release

From time to time your child’s photo may be taken in our classrooms or special events.  We use these photos in the Temple bulletin or to share with the greater community through the Jewish Federation.

Section D: Mid-Week Hebrew
Students will be receiving Hebrew language instruction on Sunday mornings but regularity with language is key. If your child(ren) are in 3rd-6th grade, they are eligible to attend an additional hour of Hebrew learning during the week. Please indicate below which day of the week and time you are interested in signing up for.
Please choose all possible options for your family.
Section E: Congregation Community

You may have noticed that at the top of the form we begin with family information.  This is intentional.  The work of raising and educating Jewish children cannot be done in the school alone, but is a project of the school, the family and the community. You are not just registering your child(ren) for school today, but in fact your entire family.   When you come in the building and spend time learning and volunteering with us, you make a powerful statement to your children that Jewish learning is a lifelong process and that we are all on the same team in creating these experiences for them.  Don’t underestimate the subtle power of this statement!

We have specific days during the course of the year (see calendar for dates) on which parents are requested to attend with students (Family Learning Events) Please plan to join us on these days.

In addition to those opportunities to participate we are in need of regular volunteers to assist with occasional school lunches, volunteering opportunities and, potentially, to help lead a specific course or project.  Would you consider supporting our school in an ongoing role or a limited engagement?

It takes a village to educate our students and we would appreciate any help you're able to offer. For instance, B'nai Shabbat is an ongoing program run on the first Friday of every month during Shabbat services and we often need an extra adult hand, or three, to assist our teacher with the activities. Please contact Mindy Escobar-Leanse directly for additional questions or to volunteer your time - mescobar-leanse@templemountsinai.com
On occasion, we are in need of additional help. This could be extra volunteers for a family learning event or to help facilitate a project over the course of 2-4 weeks. The time commitment and description of these instances will vary depending on the school's needs. If you are interested in helping for family learning or project based activities, please reach out to Mindy Escobar-Leanse for more information: mescobar-leanse@templemountsinai.com.
Section F: Payment Information

In Jewish tradition, it is the job not only of parents but of the community to provide education for children. The Temple Mount Sinai community is committed to this obligation.  As such, our religious school fee only covers a portion of the cost of our religious school.  If your family is financially able to donate more than the $200/$360 base fee, please consider making an additional donation to help other families and support our specialized teachers.

  • PreK-1st Grade - Base fee - $200 plus Supplies Fee - $118 = $318.00
  • 2nd-8th Grade - Base fee - $360 (which includes Hebrew) plus Supplies Fee - $118 = $478.00
  • B'nai Mitzvah Workshop with Rabbi Zeidman is an additional $200/student (to be billed by TMS office separately). If your child is within one year of their bar/bat/b'nai mitzvah this class is mandatory.
  • High School Madrichim (Teen Teaching Assistants) with High School Learning/Confirmation Class = $118.00

Please contact Rabbi Zeidman or Mindy Escobar-Leanse with any questions about B'nai Mitzvah Workshop.

Please note: All credit card transactions will have a 3% transaction fee (Titled: ACH Fee). We accept bank transactions or checks which do not incur this fee. Please choose "Bill to my account" (You must be logged into your ShulCloud) when submitting for payment.

Additionally, if you are beginning the school year late or ending early, please contact the TMS office to find out more information regarding pro-rated or discounted tuition.
