Women of Reform Judaism

Temple Mount Sinai's Sisterhood/Women of Reform Judaism (WRJ) has embarked upon another great year of programming, education, socializing, tzedakah, and Temple support and we hope that you will be a part of it. With your support and participation, this will be a year of living with intention - a year of making each month count as we work to make a difference at Temple, in our community, and in ourselves.

Here's a look at some of our Sisterhood activities over the last few years:

For Our Temple

  • Cooking and serving Chanukah dinners
  • Contributing to camperships
  • Mailing birthday cards to Temple members
  • Giving a Tanakh to every B'nai Mitzvah at Temple Mount Sinai
  • Preparing and shipping holiday boxes to college students
  • Preparing Break The Fast for the membership at the conclusion of Yom Kippur Services
  • Providing apples and honey to the congregation during Rosh Hashanah to welcome in the New Year
  • Preparing Sukkot goodie bags for the religious school

For Ourselves

  • Holding programs that help build our network of friendship and support (book review meetings, game and crafts nights, etc.)
  • Holding programs that educate us (local Jewish history talks, Holocaust Museum tour, Jewish studies, art gallery tours, etc.)
